Burberry was born back in 1856, when 21 year old Thomas Burberry opened a small fashion shop in the English Hampshire.  Burberry is one of many British fashion brands, and all the more valuable.  Little did Burberry know that a great deal of well-deserved wealth awaited him.  In the 1950s, Burberry was a universal brand and became the main supplier for Queen Elizabeth II. 
Burberry was the choice of fragrance for Prince Charles of Wales in 1989. What better way of promoting a brand is there than by having it flaunted by royalty?
